Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled before 2 weeks of the reservation date: 100% refund.  Else, 0% refund.

E Bike: for riders from 4’9” to 6’5”, up to 120kg

For e bike rentals 24 hours or greater, a charger will be supplied

Reservation Fee

A non-refundable reservation fee of £10 per rental item is required to secure your booking. Once we receive this reservation request and subject to availability, we will reply to you as soon as possible with a method of payment.

No booking is reserved until the reservation payment has been issued and paid.

Any reservation deposits are deducted from your hire fee on the day of your hire.

We reserve the right to refuse hire for any reason whatsoever. We will refund any reservation fees paid.

Contract

In the contract below ‘I’ refers (the customer hiring the equipment) and ‘company’ refers (ChimpRigs Ltd). Any errors within this document do not render any or all the content dismissible.

I understand that:

The Hired bicycle hired from the company...

Should only be used by a competent and experienced cyclist.

Should not under any circumstance be left unattended and unlocked.

Should not be used by anyone under 14 years of age.

Should be used with appropriate protective clothing and helmet.

Should be used in accordance with UK law.

I confirm that:

I take complete and full responsibility for my safety and others whilst using or transporting the hired equipment.

I take full responsibility for either intentionally or unintentionally allowing any other person of any age or ability the use of this hired equipment.

I have myself undertaken a full and detailed inspection of the hired equipment and I am completely satisfied that the equipment is safe and suitable to be used as required.

I agree that I have enough experience to have undertaken a clear and detailed risk assessment of all potential risks involved in hiring and using this equipment and I take full responsibility for satisfying myself that I am safe to continue with the use of this equipment.

I am fully responsible for any theft or damage while the equipment is under my hire whether the equipment is locked in a secure area or not.

Assumption of Risk:

I understand and accept that:-

Renting this equipment hired from the company exposes me to many hazards and entails unavoidable risk of death, personal injury and loss of or damage to property. I also understand I should be in good physical health to participate in cycling. I choose to use the equipment despite these risks and hereby assume all risk of injury or loss of life to myself and loss of or damage to property arising out of renting this equipment. I understand the inherent risk involved in using this equipment and accept full responsibility for all such damage or injury which may result.

Waiver & Release:

In consideration of the company renting me this equipment, I specifically release and forever discharge the company and its officers, agents, and employees from all liability or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which I may suffer while renting this equipment or using this equipment. This discharge specifically includes, but is not limited to, liability or claims for injury, illness, death or damaged caused by the negligence of the company or its officer agents, or employees. It is my intent by the Waiver and Release Agreement to release the company and hold harmless from all liability for any such property loss or damage, personal injury or loss of life, whether caused by negligence of the company or whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, or any other legal theory.

In signing this document, I fully recognize that if injury, illness, death or damage occurs to me or any third party while I am engaged in using or transporting any hired equipment. I will have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against the company, its officers, agents or employees, even if they or any of them negligently cause my injury, illness, death or damage.

I confirm that the company staff has answered any questions that I have.

I accept that I am responsible for the replacement value of the equipment if, stolen or lost or the cost of repair if damaged. I understand that I have sole responsibility during my hire period and that insurance cover is my responsibility, and not offered to me by the company as part of my hire.

I accept that in the event of damage to the hired equipment. I will compensate the company for all repairs. In the case of the damage exceeding the replacement costs of the hired equipment or the hired equipment is not returned to the to the company a charge of £500 will be made on the credit/ debit card used to hire the equipment.

I accept that in the event of the hired equipment is returned after the agreed rental period, a charged will be made by the company to my credit/ debit card used to hire the equipment of £10 per hour or part of.

I accept that if I do not return the equipment and the company must collect it, I will be charged £0.45 per mile from the Bridlington shop too and from the collection address.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THIS IS AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND I AGREE TO IT VOLUNTARILY. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT I SHOULD NOT AND MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS ACTIVITY IF I AM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS OR FEELING UNWELL IN ANYWAY. I REALISE THE IMPORTANCE OF WEARING A HELMET & APPROPRIATE CLOTHING AND I HEREBY COMMIT TO WEARING A HELMET AT ALL TIMES WHILE RIDING OR USING THE EQUIPMENT

I am to take full responsibility for either intentionally or unintentionally allowing any other person of any age or ability the use of this hired equipment.

I understand that whilst using the company’s property, audio and visual security equipment is being used and recordings are taken as part of my hire agreement and that if needed these recording may be used in any future proceedings or identity purposes.

Cancellations

Please note in the event of a cancellation that is requested by a customer, and not the fault of the business, refunds will be minus any transaction fees incurred.

The company reserves the right to refuse booking requests.

Refund in the event of a cancellation:

o Greater than or equal to 2 week’s notice of cancellation before the reservation date: 100% refund less any transaction costs incurred by the company.

o Less than 2 week’s notice of cancellation before the reservation date: 0% refund.

Please note: The company does not offer a repair service during your hire period away from the shop. The equipment is handed over in the best possible condition and you have sole responsibility during your hire period. The equipment does not come with a maintenance package. We highly recommend bringing a puncture repair kit and small pump. There are repair centres in the area and a mobile bike mechanic. We advise you familiarise yourselves with these options before your hire. In the event of a puncture or repair required, please return the equipment to the shop and we will address the problem.

The equipment must be returned in a similar condition to when they are handed over at the start of your hire. If the equipment is returned, for example covered in mud, with no attempt to wash down, customers will be charged a cleaning fee. A standard wash will be charged at £10 (per equipment). I accept these charges if I do not or cannot return the bike in the condition, they were handed over to me. By accepting the bikes and continuing with my hire, I agree the bikes equipment at the start of my hire are in the best possible condition.
